Field Training School
Designed for foremen and forewomen, superintendents, salespeople and future leaders, AFA’s Field Training School offers instruction in the most innovative installation techniques as well as safety procedures and information on new technologies.
The program offers both classroom education and hands-on field instruction in a convenient weeklong format. Students learn first aid and safety practices, problem solving abilities, project layout templates and the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, among other important information for those in the fence industry.
Curriculum for Field Training School focuses on eight critical areas of the fence industry, including PVC fence products, bias cutting, chain-link fence products, farm and ranch fencing, gate operators, welding, wood fence products and ornamental metals.
Most importantly, AFA’s Field Training School is intended to instill a “pride in fencing” in all participants, a trait that translates into the quality of work that fence professionals will provide to consumers upon completion of the program.
Due to low enrollment the 2009 session of Field Training School has been canceled.
